Salon du Livre

An unmissable cultural event in France, visitors to Livre Paris come to enjoy its varied programme and events over 4 days.

Every year the programme includes nearly 4000 signing sessions, with more than 50 countries represented, more than 800 events and conferences, a literary stage, themed areas and more.

Originally hosted at the Grand Palais until 1992, the event is now held at Paris-Expo, Porte de Versailles.

Since 1989, each edition of the Salon du Livre has been dedicated to foreign literature from a different country: an opportunity to introduce the French public to new cultures and to deepen or develop relations between the professions of the two countries.

The Salon du Livre is a consistently international event with 45 countries exhibiting in 2016 and the participation of publishers from more than 50 countries, with stands organised by country.
It’s also a major event for professionals from the publishing sector.

Politicians also attend the event in large numbers, thereby proving the continued importance of books and reading in French society.
